| Kinda weird occurence. (no stalkers and no library, I promise.) Yesterday, at work, I was at the information desk calling customer's who's special orders had come in. This older gentelman came up to me for help, but also to ask me what my name meant. I knew what it meant, thanks to Mindy and Kim. We "researched" last year. It took me a second to remember and respond to the customer. My name means "worthy of love" and it had been a joke with us three girls that I'm worthy of, but not receiving it... but then this guys came up to me yesterday and told me I should thank my parents for it. He was all excited to ask me and to hear my response. He has a daughter named Amanda, too. It made me appreciate my name and feel all bubbly warm inside (hehe). Its so cool how God gives us the small little blessings to get us through our day. | | |
| Ok, so NEVER talk to men inside the library.... escpecially on a night when the library is deserted....(and always give a fake name... like Yolanda)
So, I'm at the library tonight (study session with buds) and I went to the computer to find out where a book was located. I sat down at a computer, the one closest to me. A guy was on the one next to it. He asks: What time does the library close. Me, being the nice person I am, turned and said, I think 2am, but it may be different since there is no school tomorrow. Him: Ok. Silence. What's your name (Warning bells SHOULD be going off, but at this point, I'm getting a little uncomfortable.) Amanda. (No, it's Wonder woman.)Him: I'm Charles. Nice to meet you (Handshake). You seem like a nice person. What are you doing here tonight? (At this point my information has appeared on the screen, yet I'm begining to get flustered and can't concentrate) I'm here with a bunch of people (point towards room), studying. Him: Oh really. What are you working on? Do you need help? Me: No, we've got it. Him: Oh, you and your boyfriend? Me: Oh, no me and a friend (Idiot!!! Yes, you have a boyfriend, according to this stranger.) Him: Would you like to go out sometime, maybe for a drink? Me: No, sorry, I don't drink (I'm not 21! Maybe that would have backed him off... I'm too young... or maybe not). Him: Oh, that's ok, coffee? Me: No, sorry, thank you. (At this point, I've stared at my computer screen enough to know what I'm looking for, but can't comprehend what is going on.) Him: Well, maybe sometime we can hang out to get to know each other. Me: No, sorry, thanks. Nice meeting you (I get up to leave). Him: I'm sorry we couldn't get to know each other better. Me: running away, shaking head.
From now on, I am implementing the buddy system. It ended up, I forgot the number of the book, and was so flustered and scared, I made Mindy go back and look it up for me. Urgh!!!!
| In response to everyone )well not everyone...) else's entries lately... I am creating one.... isn't it awesome! | | |
| Friday, I went to SOFA, which stands for Sculptural Objects and
Functional Art. Oh, yeah, Amanda was in happy hour! I went home on Sat,
and "made" a "new" me... you'll figure it out once you see me or I get
a very current pic up.
I fell in. I'm on facebook, now, too....

| I saw The Village last night, and I loved it. Yeah, yeah, I now I'm a little slow with keeping up and watching movies. I watched it with Kristina and I was, I admit, scared during some points. I loved how it was filmed. Very artistically done! Man, and the ending! I can't stop thinking about it! (Ok, I can, but it pops up every once and a while.)
I finished Harry Potter, the fifth one. Sixth one, here I come.
Oh, yeah. Its official. Mindy is crazy.
